Bruckner Avenue in the South Bronx, April 1978. What a lonely sad looking building, difficult to imagine in the mind's eye how it was around 1900 with well dressed people coming and going and buildings on it's left side. Unfortunately the South Bronx in the 70's was a rotten terrible slum with blocks and blocks of burned out hulks the city couldn't tear down fast enough to keep up with the new ones being abandoned.
