There were two versions of this same design, this shortie model and a taller one with a cornice moulding on top. Salvaged several of each from various parts of Manhattan. The shortie came from a building on the North side of East 105th Street by 1st Ave.

Two sculptures from the building, terra cotta first and then a painted carved stone likeness of the first from the ground floor.

I was cleaning out a closet and going through some boxes and I found a couple of small jars I kept which contained various coins found in the walls of tenements I salvaged things from.

Most of the coins I found in tenements had fallen into the cavity between the wood panel under the window and the inside of the facade brick wall, almost certainly kids playing with the coins or pushing them into cracks.

In one of the jars was a single 1903 Indian head cent with a slip of paper, interesting because it was dated Aug 29, 1976 and said the coin came from 343 East 105th St, top floor behind a sculpture I had removed.
